ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Led by Dr. Ricky E. Harrell with the CTOR faculty and residents, the Preceptorship program blends academic rigor with real-world exposure to cutting-edge orthodontic technologies and contemporary clinical decision-making.

Ricky E. Harrell

DMD, MA, FACD — Program Director Emeritus, Georgia School of Orthodontics; Adjunct Faculty, Emory University Post-Graduate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery; Visiting Faculty, CTOR Post-Graduate Orthodontic Residency; ABO Diplomate and Professor.

Mani Alikhani

DMD, MS, PhD — Dean and Professor,

CTOR Academy. Dr. Alikhani leads an institution recognized for its high training standards, patent-backed innovation, and leadership in translational orthodontic research.

Cristian Brutten

DDS from Harvard and a CAGS in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Connecticut. He graduated from UFRN and has over 15 years of clinical and academic experience, combining advanced practice with international training.

Michel Furtado

Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto, an MDS degree, and a specialist degree in Periodontology from the University of Connecticut. He graduated in Brazil and has over 20 years of experience in clinical and academic dentistry.

CTOR Academy

CTOR Academy offers a fully accredited, three-year, full-time residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with 4,500+ hours of clinical and academic training—well above the national average.

The institution is internationally recognized for research and innovation, holding seven patents in orthodontics and craniofacial orthopedics, and operates at the forefront of translational research, bridging discovery and clinical application. For participants interested in academic pathways, CTOR also offers research and clinical fellowships.
